Planned for the first public release
After the contribution window closes and the album is ready, CatchApp is planned to connect people with the moments they appear in.
Matching and reciprocal contact sharing are planned for the first public release. Both are still in development and are not available yet.
CatchApp is being built to bring an event’s photos together, help guests find the photos they appear in, and make it easier to reconnect with people from that event.
For hosts and guests at weddings, private parties, club events, team days and other gatherings.
The host creates an account, sets the photo contribution window, then shares one event link or QR code with guests.
Guests won’t need to create an account. CatchApp is planned for the web, iOS and Android, with access through the host’s event link or QR code. We’ll confirm supported devices and any installation steps before launch.
No. Photos you take in CatchApp stay private until you choose which ones to upload. Importing photos from your camera roll is not part of the first release.
They stay on the same device and in the same CatchApp app or browser where you took them. They do not sync between devices. Clearing browser or app storage can remove them, so they are not a permanent backup.
After the contribution window closes and the album is ready, a face match is planned to open your personal album and the full event album. This is an album access check, not proof that someone attended in person. Matching is planned for the first public release and is still in development.
No. Contact sharing is optional and specific to each event. Guests who opt in share their full name and at least one contact method with other guests who have also opted in. You can enjoy and download event photos without sharing contact details. This is planned for the first public release and is still in development.
Guest access is intended to end 30 days after the host’s final photo contribution deadline. That access period does not by itself describe when the host’s event photos are deleted.
